Welcome to the website of the
Worcestershire Symphony Orchestra
The orchestra was founded over 100 years ago with the help of Edward Elgar and continues to bring pleasure to a range of audiences throughout Worcestershire.
Continuing in the footsteps of Edward Elgar is our exciting new conductor:
Keith Slade
We aim to present three main concerts per year but we are also invited to take part in other concerts and events.
Rehearsals take place at Oldbury Park Primary School in Worcester at 7.30pm on Thursday evenings (during term time).
We currently have more than 50 regular players but would always welcome new players, particularly violas and violins (please go to the Join Us page for more details about current vacancies).
